So it has been like 3 days since i've heard maybe the most outrageous news i've heard in my entire life, and initially thinking that it has ruined my whole of half the year and with nothing to look forward and achieve towards to. And all the tough practices we (ip2s) have gone through initially seemed all washed down the drain to a bottomless pit. WTH, you tell me, what has age got to do with singing? Does it even benefit or place other jc choirs at a disadvantage in any way? It may seem reasonable to implement this rule if the reason was because of benefitting somebody else, but WTH, i don't understand the rationale behind this. I have come to learn that people do things because of personal benefit, but this is like a situation where YOU DON'T GAIN ANYTHING. NO OPPORTUNITY COST, NO COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE. >.<" It really makes no sense to me, and look at how many ip1s and 2s' feelings are you hurting? We (ip2s) have worked so hard ever since we've gotten into jc just to match up to them, and in the end you are telling us that there is no point in doing this because we can't take part in the SYF like they do? You should be in our shoes mann.

But so much for being self-centered. Looking back, it was all because of self-centered-ness that i teared anyway. Maybe so did everyone else. I knew it was the wrong reason to cry, so i tried to hold my tears back, but to no avail anyway. Tammy said it was human to cry, and that everybody can't help being self-centered. But i won't be if i could help it, 'cuz i don't particularly find self-centered people a good thing.

So what if i couldn't do a solo? They'll find a new one, maybe a better one anyway, though i felt a tinge of disappointment, but that's the way life goes. Maybe there'll be other opportunities as time goes. So what if the choir couldn't have the ip1s and 2s to sing for SYF? They'll just adapt to the changes and work harder. They can make it. As i said, nobody is indispensable. Plus people are made to adapt to changes in their environment, so njchoir will surely find their own way to what we want to achieve. But if i could do something to change the situation, i would. But what in the world can an ip2 do? Even my parents think its no big deal... Aiya, no choice, have to accept reality... And hopefully hope for some sort of a miracle to happen. Luck has been by my side all these years, after all. =P

Jiayou njchoir! No matter what, we'll work and work towards our ultimate goal for the year, not gold with honours for syf, but to know that we have done our best and contributed whatever we could with no regrets.

My mum wants me to become an architect. Lol. And the next thing i know i'm already screwing up the vectors' lesson and i think i'm like two lessons behind the whole class... I better work on that. Uh huh, and then i'll end up building the next "leaning tower of pisa" 'cuz i couldn't do the vectors properly. Haha. That'd be cool. xD

Had class "breakfast" at the round tables during homeroom period today. Lol. At first i thought why mr eng was so nice to have bought food for us, but we later found out that it was actually the remaining food of our winnings from induction last year. Rofl. Good times, good times... We practically whipped up all the winning prizes la. And then we had this class survey vote thingy where we had to decide what activities we can- probably will- do as a class. Soooo, we have: cycling, swimming, ice-skating, movie-screening, steamboat dinner, playing outdoor games like bball xD, going to mr eng's house for CNY and get hongbao, having bonding sessions with our junior class +++... I think i missed out some. Haha. It seems exciting. Now i shall see how many can we actually complete. =P

Went to see the orientation ppl do the mass dance during lunch today. The song was girly (so not my type), but anyway everybody seemed to be having loadsa fun. But at the corner of my eye he caught my attention. I felt really really sad la. Really really. I wonder what was it like to be in his shoes. It wasn't something you see everytime anyway. I'm keeping this confidential 'cuz it's kinda bad to say these kinda things out loud. Those whom i told to should know why.

P.S. I did a good deed today. xD

Whew.

Glad all our hard work paid off. Haha. Learning a song and memorising it in TWO DAYS is no joke mann. We were gonna say something like "pls forgive us for any mistakes, 'cuz we learnt yesterday yesterday and we are bringing you yesterday today." Haha. But wanyun or sheena said something like we are already expected to be in performance standard no matter how many days we take to learn, so we aren't supposed to mention that. Uh huh, and my head went super dizzy reaching for the high notes for two days. After all, all my sop singing worn off after i became alto. But in the end we managed to pull it through, not bad for something we started the day b4. Then when i was on the bus i was so tired that i didn't have the energy to talk to zj, then went home, immediately bathe, brush teeth dry hair and plopped on my bed. So unlike me. haha. Even my parents were shocked. o.O

Really very happy the concert was a big success. FULL HOUSE MANN!!! FULL HOUSE! Woah. It was breathtaking mann. Really really very happy. Haha. I think we really changed the impression of choir for many people 'cuz most of them who signed up are those without choir background. Haha. And some of them seem so excited! Lol. But you gotta have commitment la. Uhuh, as xq said, the tix sale for cantab will be much easier for us... Lol. But of course we'll put a much better performance than that.

ttbb really sang very well, although i think they are a bit worn out now. Haha. Haoguang went one octave lower?!? Sasa a.k.a. entitled did not bad also, sounded as cheeeeena as they were supposed to be. Haha. It's a compliment ok? Negativ really blew me away mann, 'cept for the lyrics part. Lol. And so sweet kx and her gang came over to see xq sing. Awww. I guess they sounded so good is 'cuz all of them can learn the songs fast n sing it well, plus xq's arrangement is damn zai. Not to forgot they have jh as beatboxer too. Lol. I'm working on that vp ok, plus i gotta find some way to finish arranging the song i'm on... H major should improve ourselves and learn to be like that. Uh huh, and the choir put up the usual good performance. xD Well done acap groups! Well done choir! Well done H major! =P CHOIR ROXXX.

I found out something yesterday:

I saw my neighbour *** and her bf strolling back to her house as usual.
I realised something.

"Hey mom, how come ***'s bf is always at her house? He's got nowhere to live?" I asked her when we got back.

"No... He's living there for the moment 'cuz he's chasing her," my mom said.

"Huh?? What living in her house gotta do with the bf going after her?" I asked.

"It means that her parents welcome him to their household."

"Do all the bfs have to do that?"

"Normally, yes."

Well that's something new, i thought.

"Then what about you and dad?"

She paused for a while.

"Yeah, he stayed at my family's house for a few months."

I thought for a while longer.

"Then what about jy1 and jy2? (my cousins) That means that they have to go to gf's house too right? then there'll always be nobody in their house."

She paused for a while longer.

"That's different. The gfs GO to their house."

"Huh??!!??"

"'Cuz its the girls who are after them." She said as a matter-of-factly.

WOAH. o.O
