Anyway specially blogged today to thank all who has made this day special... My family for treating me to JAP FOOD + DESSERTS yesterday. xD NJChoir who all sang bday song for me at the parade square so awkward yet so touching <3 06ip06 who sang it in the canteen <3 Davina Amanda Liyana Lakshmi for the girly top which so ruins my whole reputation thing xP Eunice1 and Sonia for the card. =) Lengshan Pokpokkeh Zijiang Zhangli Sixuan who smsed To the intl history ppl who overheard it was my bday and wished me happy bday too LOL And to all others who remembered.
Seriously i didn't feel so special when today started, but as the day goes by i begin to feel like my existence is worth remembering for. HAHA. i hope. i'm always this insecure la.
Anyway I hope Yanshan ShaunNeo and Lengshan's bff who share the same b'day as me have a great time too!

Take home lesson for the month- DON'T JUDGE THE BOOK BY IT'S COVER.
Easy for anybody to say this sentence, but how many people actually live up to it?
How many of you sneer when you chance upon yet another papparazi tabloid about Britney Spears? Or shake your head at the news about Amy Winehouse's drug dig? Or even laugh at Maria Carey about being fat and trying to fake her abs?
I did then. But now i know better.
Instead of just judging these people by what you hear and see from the media, have any of you wondered about the reason why the media wanted to pick on them in the first place? Britney Spears CAN sing, not to mention her fantastic dancing. Amy Winehouse is a talented jazz and blue-zy singer and is able to write brilliant lyrics that won her 6 Grammy Awards in just one year. Maria Carey has an unbelievable range of notes that she trained so hard to achieve. Sure the media gave audiences something to sneer about them, but in truth they are talented individuals who should be admired at the things they are good at. Look at two points of view and don't just think of the bad stuff; the world they live in is not just cover stories by the media, but also in the music they sing and all the albums they have sold.
Nobody in the world should be hated by anyone, because of the simple fact that nobody is bad and lousy enough to be hated. Never judge a book by its cover, because a book is meant to be read. Just like a movie is meant to be watched. Or music is meant to be listened. Or food is meant to be eaten. If you never read, watched, listened or taste it, you'll never know what it's worth.
I feel a tinge wiser now, don't you? =)
